It was Dr. Hollmann's experience as an All American collegiate athlete that initially sparked a passion then later launched a career in sports medicine and orthopedics. Dr. Hollmann completed a fellowship in sports medicine and knee reconstruction surgery. It is this winning combination of his love for sports and extensive training as an orthopaedic surgeon that has shaped a well-rounded career devoted to excellence.
Dr. Hollmann was selected as one of the two physicians to care for the men and women's basketball teams in the 1996 Olympics. He also spent a year as assistant to the team physician for the Orlando Magic. On the local level, he is the team physician for Stetson University athletics and orthopedic consultant for the local high schools.
He continues to play an integral role in the advancement of orthopaedic surgery in Central Florida and remains on the forefront of sports medicine and arthritis treatment. Helping to perpetuate this commitment to advancement, he trains surgeons as a consultant for Mako Surgical and Depuy. According to Depuy, he currently performs the most rotating platform knee replacements in the state of Florida. He is the only Volusia county surgeon that has had the honor of being inducted into the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Florida Hospital Deland and Dr. Hollmann now have a rapid recovery program for total hip and total knee patients to help you get out of the hospital and back home within 24 hours after surgery.
The appeal of a historic community with the big-city conveniences brought Dr. Hollmann and his family to West Volusia County where he is happy to be performing surgery at Florida Hospital Deland - one of the top ten hospitals for total knee replacement surgery according to HealthGrades. He and his wife are involved in many community service organizations and are happy raising their five children in a small town atmosphere.

Great Knee Nd Hip replacement doc, highly recommend
Dr Hollmann was not impressive at all. He seemed to like himself quite a lot. However I did not find him to be knowledgeable or particularly helpful. I would never book another appointment with him.
Was a positive experience with Dr. Hollman’s expertise as a surgeon and his medical & office staff. My hip replacement was a success so far. PT was a great help. I will remain a patient at Florida Orthopedic for my knees and other hip.

Great guy! I feel comfortable with him doing my knee surgery without question.
If I could give a 0 I would. He spent about 1 min in my room. He didn’t do a physical exam, didn’t ask associated symptoms, put in my note he had a “lengthy discussion” with me. He offered no time for questions, and walked out before I had an opportunity to say or ask anything. As I provider I hope my patients never feel the way he made me feel today. I was very disappointed
