Dr Mounayer is a rock star. I wish I could have answered all his questions more completely. I don't think I was able to convey the seriousness of my situation at the nursing home. I sufferer psychological abuse there on a daily and nightly basis. That is why I had to go back on Clonopin. I had weaned myself off it completely when he asked me to at a prior appointment. He asked for a picture of my spine and became distracted and didn't get it to him. I have suffered more memory problems since having 3 spine surgeries at U of M. Dr Mounayer is an awesome doctor and I'm grateful that he is caring for me.a

I like him, but he is unusual in that he doesn’t have any conversation when he is doing infusions. No hello beforehand and nothing after. No goodbye or take it easy. Nothing that infers interest in the patient.

When I first started coming here I had hope and felt I was finally being listened to. Now I feel like I'm being ignored and just gives me refills to get me out the door. I hoped my quality of life would get better because my pain would finally be under control, but it is so fat from that. 9 years of chronic pain is taking its toll, and all pain doctors don't seem to understand that the standard that they have for newer patients does not help people like me. Hopefully one day this will be rectified before I just give up.

Dr. Mounayer lacks bed side manner. There was no eye contact, no empathy. I felt rushed, like I was an inconvenience and he had leave. I'm considering a different doctor. I was a patient at the Lasher MOS 11 years ago. The previous pain doctor was kind, patient and empathetic. This doctor was the complete opposite.

Dr. Mounayer has helped get my back stabilized using rhizotomy/burn and is now helping me with getting shoulder looked at. He has recommended a great fort and ankle surgeon for my left foot issue (I saw 3 previously that couldn’t dx what was wrong) after an exhaustive search from other doctors referrals, unrelated to him.

Dr. Mounayer is young but I would say he is a very good Doctor. The thing that I'm not happy with is, I was 20 minutes early for my appointment. I waited for my appoinment time as I should. After my appointment time, I was called and waited for 60 minutes for the doctor. I addressed this waiting time with the Dr. and he said If I wanted to have the first appt. at 7:30 I might not have to wait so long. I live an hour from his office. He said that his Mother lives in Florida and she waited 2 & 1/2 hours to see her eye dr. I'm not sure what that has to do with me. It may help me to understand why he is OK with patience waiting. I will not be going back. My time is valuable to me even if the Dr does not respect that.

I have had debilitating sciatic pain for the last eight weeks. Dr. Mounayer was excellent with my spinal injection and literally within minutes, my pain was 75% better. I cannot wait to see what the next few days brings in terms of the pain relief.

He needs to listen better to our problems.talk to us better.
