A native of Des Moines, Dr. Fish earned his bachelor’s degree from the Moody Bible Institute on the Near North Side of Chicago before moving back to Iowa to complete his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University. Following medical school graduation, he moved to Michigan to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Michigan State University in East Lansing. He continued his education with a joint replacement and sports medicine fellowship in Indianapolis.

The best orthopedic surgeon. I had great recovery time. And had pain that was better tolerable than my tooth ache.
I had rotator cuff surgery in 2025 and right shoulder replacement at the same time. I will highly recommend him to anyone.

I actually met with Betsy, Dr. Fish's PA. I would also rate her a five. Very easy to talk to, listen to and understand what exactly I was there for. The whole office has a wonderful staff and atmosphere. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Fish has done total knee replacement on both of my knees. I feel he is a very talented and precise surgeon and my results are excellent at this point. His staff is attentive and responsive as you go through the process.
