A native of Des Moines, Dr. Fish earned his bachelor’s degree from the Moody Bible Institute on the Near North Side of Chicago before moving back to Iowa to complete his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University. Following medical school graduation, he moved to Michigan to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Michigan State University in East Lansing. He continued his education with a joint replacement and sports medicine fellowship in Indianapolis.

The best orthopedic surgeon. I had great recovery time. And had pain that was better tolerable than my tooth ache.
I had rotator cuff surgery in 2025 and right shoulder replacement at the same time. I will highly recommend him to anyone.
