Did a great surgery on my fingers and did it in the amount of time that I was told. Was awake and did not feel any pain. Dr. Mellinher has a great sense of humor and a great surgeon.

Dr Mellenger, is the most enthusiastic knowledgeable Dr I've seen in many years. I went in to see him with one issue that he discussed clearly in detail and we made a plan to correct the issue. Now the best part of the appointment starts. I've had another issue going on for about two years and have seen multiple doctors with no success in diagnosis. All I got was let's try this drug or that drug with no success. Dr Mellenger asked if he could do a few quick tests on me and within 10 minutes he had a diagnosis that for the first time in two years made sense. I wish more doctors took that kind of initiative. Im eternally grateful for what he did on a first appointment.

Before becoming an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Mellinger held a career as an Optical Engineer. His decision to dedicate his life to medicine was determined during a volunteering trip to a surgical clinic in Mexico. Dr. Mellinger earned his fellowship certificate in Hand and Microsurgery from the University of Florida. Before traveling to Florida to further his education in hand surgery, Dr. Mellinger received his post-graduate education, doctoral degree and an undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Mellinger is active in the medical community holding memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
