Dr. Beckman is thorough and thoughtful in his approach. He is very personable and remembers specifics about past visits beyond the medical and asks about family.

I was having intense abdominal/digestive pain this morning but when I got to the office the pain had gone away. Took an hour for me to be seen and he acted like he was weirded out by me and as if I was wasting his time. Maybe a 5 min visit with him where he clearly didn’t care about the emergent situation I had that morning. I was in immense pain that whole morning but since the symptoms had passed he acted like I was bothering him by seeking medical consultation/treatment for something that I was going to go to the ER for but instead I drove 45 min to avoid a bill I couldn’t afford. Not even my doctor btw.

I was very disappointed with my visit. This was my second time seeing Dr Beckman and will not be going back. My visit was a follow up from a hospital stay and he was very unconcerned about my care. At one point while discussing one of my concerns he said to me maybe I needed to try cocaine. He even went on to say but nowadays you aren’t going to get just cocaine because they put all this other stuff in it. I felt this was very unprofessional. I understand he was just joking but not something a Dr should tell his patient.
Ending the appointment he asked ME how I wanted to handle my prescriptions. I was not impressed when I went the first time thinking maybe he was just having a bad day I’ll see t next appointment goes. Well it didn’t get any better and I won’t be returning to him for my healthcare.
