Knee surgery has been a difficult complicated decision to make for me. I was hoping Dr Barba would give me more details about what was surgically involved, where surgery is done, post op recovery and therapy recovery and potential options. He basically told me I would have a lot of pain, have difficulty sleeping and it would take about 6 weeks.

Well run office. I felt very comfortable with the doctor and his staff.

I got told i needed a knee replacement that a mri would be a waist of time i went ahead and did the mri found out i have 3 tears a spain and a fracture at the bottom of my tibula i feel all he seen was the arthritis and my weight and solely based his diagnosis on that for that he gets 1 star

Post op visit with my mother. He never spoke directly to my mother. Made comments about her that indicated he was talking about a different patient. Said it was 6 weeks after her surgery when it was barely 3 weeks since her surgery. He mentioned her husband just passing when its been over 8 years. He must have had the wrong chart!

I think Dr. Barber is very skilled and a great surgeon. He is the best! That’s why I travel from Huntley to see him. But, I feel he could be a little warmer and more personable. Perhaps ask more questions and interact about my condition a little more. This is just meant as a little helpful feedback . I’m totally satisfied with Dr. Barbara and will continue to see him as needed.

He made me feel like I was working hard to meet my weight goal. I was told by someone that he made her feel like she was dirt when she went in to see him. She was trying to loose weight to get her BMI down so she could have surgery. She was told by him that at rate she was loosing that she would never meet her goal, and he told her he was not a pain doctor and he was not going to give her any pain Ned's. I didn't get that impression from him.

I really appreciate Dr. Barba's work on my hip, and dealing with my problematic pain control issues. He does listen to his patients, clearly.

Thought I had appointment with Doctor, but only saw assistant. information presented was about equal what can be found on WebMD. No real care instructions offered to manage current condition. Strong push for knee replacement. Still waiting for call back regarding MRI.
