Dr. Allen completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction of the Hip and Knee at The CORE Institute and his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at St. John Oakland Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada and his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Weber State University, graduating Cum Laude with a minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Allen is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is MAKO-certified in robotic hip and knee arthroplasty. He remains actively involved in orthopedic research and education, with multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on joint replacement and robotics. Outside of work Dr. Allen enjoys golfing, hiking, swimming as well as playing sports with his wife and children.

Right now i am into my 3rd day. While I am not pain free , so far itis tolerable. So far i have not had to take anything dilaudid. The journamax is working well to control pain and allowing me to do some of the exercises. Thank you for this positive experience so far.
Over the last 3 months I have gotten both hips replaced. Dr Allen performed both amazingly. Minimal pain and my scars are small and flat. Dr Allen is kind and understanding and walks you through the entire thing. Best experience I could have asked for
