Services: Mako Total Knee Application
Shady Grove is proud to be the only Hospital in your region offering this new treatment option. Mako Total Knee transforms the way total knee replacements are performed. The Mako Total Knee application is a knee replacement treatment option designed to relieve the pain caused by joint degeneration due to osteoarthritis. Through CT-based 3D modeling of bone anatomy, surgeons can use the Mako System to create a personalized surgical plan and identify the implant size, orientation and alignment based on each patient’s unique anatomy. The Mako System also enables surgeons to virtually modify the surgical plan intraoperatively and assists them in executing bone resections.
Short visit. Wasn’t clear about pain meds.
Dr Peterson is very personable with a good bedside manner. He explained everything clearly and was super efficient. I have seen him for prior issues and he has helped me each time. I would highly recommend Dr Peterson and Shady Grove Orthopedics.
Hardly took any time, made condescending comments, was not helpful
Good surgeon. Explains things well.
Very understanding and helpful
Great doctor!!
Dr. Peterson lacked bedside manners. I took my teenage child to be examined for multiple issues he was having. Their system used to check-in only allows you to select the primary issue (not multiple concerns). When I brought up the other concerns, Dr. Peterson told me it wasn’t on my chart (which I told him why) and he told me I would need to make another appointment to address those concerns. I have Never heard of that before. Why not address everything now instead of being charged for a second visit, pulling my kid out of school and taking off work again. Before we could have any rebuttal he was halfway out the door. We felt very rushed, he spoke super fast to the point I can’t even recall the suggestions he made. (Typically a Dr, would write that up for you, to him) I understand he does this everyday but we don’t, so slow down a tad bit and make your patient feel heard, even if you don’t care. Especially when we wait minutes to bee seen. I won’t be back. Positives: knowledgeable.
Dr Peterson was great, to the point, explained everything well and gave me a cortisone shot I barely felt. I am happy with my plan of treatment.
Very direct and to the point, efficient and knowledgeable.
I spent less than 10min when I got to see Dr. Peterson. He spoke about my x-rays and offered me a cortisone shot in my knee since I was not considering surgery. I was hoping he would offer me other alternatives like a "gel 1 shot injection" in the knee, also known as hyaluronic acid injection or visco-supplementation. No mention of that option, somewhat disappointed. Short meeting in all and he only spoke about my x-rays, but I never got to actually see my x-rays.
