Dr. Frankle was 90 minutes behind schedule and treated me as such, being quite rushed and somewhat flippant about my injury. While the injury was significant, it could also be treated nonoperatively which he strongly encouraged me to do. That part I applaud that, as a surgeon, he didn't immediately and automatically want to do surgery.
Thankfully his young resident (sorry I didn't get his name) gave me more time and did a much more thorough review prior to Dr. Markle coming in, so I already pretty well knew what I wanted to do.

Because the schedule was backlogged, I did not see Dr. Frankle but one of his associates. Was very pleased with the entire encounter.

You have to love Dr. Frankel—he is incredibly direct, focused, and clearly serious about healing his patients. From the moment I met him, I felt confident and at ease knowing I was in the hands of a surgeon who truly knows what he’s doing. I’m genuinely honored to have him as my surgeon.
And if you’re blessed enough to have his assistant, Cole, you’re in excellent hands. Cole was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even better.
Today’s treatment was outstanding from start to finish. The professionalism, care, and results exceeded my expectations. I can’t recommend Dr. Frankel and his team highly enough

Dr. Frankle has authored more than two hundred articles in professional journals, maintains ongoing research projects and has presented his findings at various professional conferences. He also has been serving as a reviewer of the Journal of Orthopaedic Research.
A shoulder implant designer, Dr. Frankle’s replacement methods and instrumentations, like his reverse shoulder prosthesis, have been utilized in several surgeries among many different orthopedic organizations.
Dr. Frankle currently serves as the President-Elect of the Society of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He is the director of the Biomechanical Shoulder and Elbow Research Lab at the University of South Florida College of Engineering. He is also the director of the Shoulder and Elbow fellowship program, a collaborative effort between Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education. He received the prestigious Charles S. Neer award for Basic Science from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Frankle enjoys setting aside time for researching and finding new ways to innovate and progress orthopedics from a surgical perspective. His implementations continue to act as stepping stones that further improve overall orthopedic care.
