Dr. Mark Bewley grew up in southeast Ohio where he learned the importance of helping others from his father, a Methodist Pastor, and his mother, who ran a foster home. He graduated salutatorian and was accepted into a highly competitive accelerated 6 year BS/MD program at the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University.
Dr Bewley received advanced training in trauma and reconstructive surgery in Detroit which prepared him to specialize in sports surgery of the knee and shoulder.

Dr Bewley and staff are top notch, based on two visits, two years apart. Dr Bewley’s PA, Patrick Rooney is very interested in my aches and pains. A clear and cogent plan is always mapped out for me.

He actually looked at my medical history and listened to what I was saying. I did not feel rushed or pushed into having a test I might not want.

I lucked into getting Dr Bewley as my doctor, but I’m so glad I did!! He’s been great. My surgery went better than I imagined. Very pleased!!

Awesome Dr but, I didn't get to see him he was busy with other patients his PA did everything so im rating him he was awesome great Dr new was very helpful an optimistic 👍

He continued his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he served as chief resident and trained with team physicians for the Red Wings, Lions, and Tigers. Dr Bewley received advanced training in trauma and reconstructive surgery in Detroit which prepared him to specialize in sports surgery of the knee and shoulder. Dr Bewley has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in Hampton Roads since 2002 and is known for his excellent outcomes and exceptional skill as a surgeon.
