Born in Taiwan, Dr. King’s family moved to St. Louis, Missouri when she was a teenager. After learning English as a second language, she excelled in her academic pursuits. Dr. King graduated from Yale University with dual degrees (BS/MS in biochemistry) in four years, and received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1999. After Harvard Medical School, Dr. King completed her internship and residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in New York City and her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania/University of Pennsylvania Program in Philadelphia. At the completion of her training, Dr. King joined Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants in 2005.

A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. King is board certified in cardiovascular disease. In addition, she is recognized by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography in Level 2 Cardiovascular CT and vascular imaging with CT training. She is also certified by the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. King is actively involved within the practice including serving on the Research Steering Committee. Dr. King is also active in the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program at the Turley Family Health Center, mentoring residents completing their cardiology rotation. She is also an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. King is available to see patients at the Clearwater and Bardmoor offices.
