Dr. Marialejandra Diaz-Ibarra, M.D., is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with extensive international experience in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases. Dr. Diaz-Ibarra completed her ophthalmology residency and surgical retina fellowship through the Asociación Venezolana para el Avance de la Oftalmología in affiliation with Universidad de Los Andes in Venezuela. She subsequently practiced as a vitreoretinal specialist for eight years, caring for patients with complex retinal disorders and performing advanced retinal surgery.

Following her relocation to the United States, Dr. Diaz-Ibarra successfully fulfilled all U.S. medical licensure requirements and pursued additional postgraduate training to meet the highest standards of American medical education. She completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases at the University of California, Irvine, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University.
