Dr Martinez is such an amazing physician that truly takes patient care and compassion to the next level. She performed a "life saving" emergency surgery on my husband back in 2021. We have followed her for his colorectal needs since , because she does everything possible for him as a patient. We live 3hrs away and she and her staff set up additional imaging tests the day of our appointment, so we wouldn't have to make a 2nd trip back to San Antonio the next day. She gives wonderful hands on instruction to the patient and their family on woundcare and how to flush his JP Drain. She's very thorough and knowledgeable. We are blessed to have her as my husbands Surgeon.

I was disappointed that Dr. Martinez didn't have everything ready for my visit today. I was under the understanding that I would recieve my surgery date today, along with the follow up from all my recent procedures. Instead her scheduler had to look at her calendar to see when her next available time was and then give me a date. And the date provided still needs to be confirmed so, there's a possibility it might be a different date. I've been waiting for this date for over 6 and half months. The last 3 months I've been in pain from a hernia, that is causing me difficulty with eating and having bowel movements. I was hoping they would understand and have everything set to go for me but they didn't. I was even hopeful I would be operated on sooner. I understand availability can't be helped but they've known my condition and could have planned sooner.

I think she’s an excellent doctor. I really enjoyed talking to her.

She didn’t listened to me when I’m explaining to her about on what might be the cause of the blood on my stool. Didn’t even bother to check my stomach which most of the doctors do. And when I said I’m not ready yet for colonoscopy ‘because i’m by myself and I need somebody to be with me, she run to her room and didn’t even say thank you that I have at least showed up. I wasted my time and disaapointed on how she treated a senior citizen and if I wasted her time she is being paid by the insurance. I think you need older doctors who are more experience in their field and dealing with patients. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the lady (I think her name is Brittney who took me to the doctor’s room and back to the lobby. She did an excellent service. Most of your staff are great.
