Dr. Bendana joined Midtown OBGYN in 2025 after completing her residency in Columbus, GA, and practicing for many years. She was born in Leon, Nicaragua but raised in Washington state, where she finished her undergraduate studies before moving to Costa Rica for her medical degree. After completing her studies in Costa Rica, she came to Columbus to complete her residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Bendana has worked in urgent care and primary care in Columbus and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

I came in with horrible uti pain with retention and begged for something for the pain because the urologist was closed for the next few days. My father had passed away the day before and I was already emotionally exhausted and started to cry because I was hurting so bad and upset over my father. She told me she was absolutely not giving me any pain meds and all I needed was a “chill pill”.

I’ve never felt so upset leaving an appointment. She interrupted every single thing I tried to tell her. She was extremely rude. She complained that I had used 45 minutes of a 20 minute schedule appointment time. Patients don’t know how long they are scheduled for and if that’s a thing for this office I would have never scheduled an appointment here. She told me I would have to schedule a separate appointment for each symptom I was having although each and every symptom I voiced go together to point to one common cause. She was absolutely horrible to me. I have three small children and a husband who can’t just take off work to make things convenient for a doctor who is just money hungry. I wouldn’t ever recommend her to anyone and after making a social media post to see if I was the only one with this experience it’s very apparent that this is a common thing for her. I would never be seen by her again. I have no clue how she has a license.

Dr. Bedana’s bedside manner was very poor. She had little to no compassion, treated me like a child (I have my masters in nutrition), and made me feel horrible about my body. She treated my symptoms like a checklist and told me to consume 1200 calories. 1200-calorie diets often lead to a restrict–binge cycle because your body is trying to catch up on energy. I already have a binge eating personality. I will not return to this doctor.

Every time I have an appointment with her, it’s pleasent. I love this doctor and will recommend her to anyone.

Had an appointment to establish care and introduction seemed cold..first time I didn’t really enjoy going to the doctor. Felt intimidated the whole time. Provider did good at explaining results but it was just an uncomfortable experience
