Dr. Marcus DiLallo, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the non-operative and surgical management of hip and knee arthritis. Dr. DiLallo attended Yale University where he played collegiate soccer and was named Academic All-Ivy. He then conducted research at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City before attending Duke University School of Medicine.
Following medical school, Dr. DiLallo completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco. There he received training not only in joint replacement but also in general orthopedics including sports medicine, fracture management, and limb deformity. After residency, Dr. DiLallo returned to Duke where he spent an additional year of fellowship training to further specialize in Adult Reconstruction (hip and knee replacement). During his fellowship, he gained extensive experience in the management of hip and knee arthritis, complex reconstructions, revision hip and knee surgery, and the use of emerging technology such as robotic and augmented reality to aid in these procedures.
Dr. DiLallo is currently board eligible with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). His clinical interests are focused on the management of hip and knee arthritis.
Dr. DiLallo currently resides in Raleigh with his wife, their children, and their golden retriever. Outside of work, he enjoys chasing after his kids as well as distance running. He has competed in 12 marathons and has even won one!
