Dr. Marc Penrod, M.D., is a dedicated family physician who grew up in Springville, Utah, participating in basketball, swim teams, and science classes. He graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a double major in Zoology and Child Development. He then attended medical school at the University of Virginia, where he received his medical degree in 1999.
Following medical school, Dr. Penrod completed his internship in 2000 and his Family Practice residency in 2002, both at Utah Valley Family Practice in Provo, UT. He considers himself fortunate to have returned to his hometown of Springville to practice medicine.
Dr. Penrod is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. His love for sports and exercise fuels a very personal interest in exercise and sports-related injuries; he often relates to patients' experiences, having likely sustained similar injuries himself.
