Experience as an athlete led Dr. Marc Michaud to orthopedics.
“I injured my knee while running on the track while in college and had arthroscopic surgery on my knee. The surgery was done under spinal anesthesia and I was able to watch it. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to do orthopedics.”
Dr. Michaud was drawn to foot and ankle surgery because foot pain impacts daily life so severely.
“If you have a painful foot, it’s hard to do your job, it’s hard to play sports. If I can help somebody to get rid of that, then I’ve done a good thing for them.”
Feet are very complex structures. So are the procedures Dr. Michaud does to treat foot and ankle injuries.
“The injuries that I like to treat are complicated reconstructive type procedures. I do ankle fusions and ankle replacements. I do deformities of the hind foot. And, I take care of complicated fractures of the ankle, the heel and the forefoot.”
Dedication to complex foot and ankle surgery has gained Dr. Michaud the respect of his peers.
“One of the big things I’m proud of is being voted Top Doc by my peers in the medical community. I’ve been voted top doc now three years. It’s a good feeling of accomplishment that other people recognize that you’re doing a good job.”

I had seen a podiatrist about a month before coming to NH Orthopedic Center. Marc did an exam, dismissed the prior diagnosis and came up with a recovery plan other than the wait and see nonsense the former guy issued.
So kind, explained all options clearly. Very happy with my visit !
Dr Michaud is a great doctor! I had every confidence in him.
I cannot say enough great things about this man as a Dr. He diagnoses the problems, listens to your concerns, makes you a part of your care with decision making including comfort measures and how to take the next steps moving forward. There is a reason he is on my “Dream Team” of providers.
Dr. Mie showed thoroughly explains what needs to be done and answers all of my questions!
This was the first time that I had met him. He was very professional explained everything in detail to me. I was very pleased with him. I have only seen Dr. Hogan in the practice for my knee. This orthopedic Center has excellent doctors.
Very good and explained options.
Very thorough and kind
Just think he's great. Nice guy and explains things really well. Would highly recommend.
Always a great experience
