Experience as an athlete led Dr. Marc Michaud to orthopedics.
“I injured my knee while running on the track while in college and had arthroscopic surgery on my knee. The surgery was done under spinal anesthesia and I was able to watch it. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to do orthopedics.”
Dr. Michaud was drawn to foot and ankle surgery because foot pain impacts daily life so severely.
“If you have a painful foot, it’s hard to do your job, it’s hard to play sports. If I can help somebody to get rid of that, then I’ve done a good thing for them.”
Feet are very complex structures. So are the procedures Dr. Michaud does to treat foot and ankle injuries.
“The injuries that I like to treat are complicated reconstructive type procedures. I do ankle fusions and ankle replacements. I do deformities of the hind foot. And, I take care of complicated fractures of the ankle, the heel and the forefoot.”
Dedication to complex foot and ankle surgery has gained Dr. Michaud the respect of his peers.
“One of the big things I’m proud of is being voted Top Doc by my peers in the medical community. I’ve been voted top doc now three years. It’s a good feeling of accomplishment that other people recognize that you’re doing a good job.”

Prompt, friendly and answered all my questions
It is nice to have a doctor who listens and asks want you want. This is Dr. Michaud.
Very nice doctor. Takes his time with the patient and I feel comfortable talking to him and getting his advice.
Knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. Very easy to deal with and offers advice and guidance
Dr Michaud is a very caring and skilled doctor. He does sometimes give a slightly inaccurate recovery estimate. For example, prior to surgery, he’ll say 6 weeks non-weight bearing but not clarify that that’s from post op not from surgery!! Regardless, I trust him and like him and that matters most!
I am so happy with the results of my surgery! From the very start and throughout my recovery, Dr. Michaud took the time to explain the details, the expectations, and provided information. I am so glad I was referred to him!
Very friendly and helpful 😊
Dr Michaud is excellent, but always friendly and uplifting
