Amongst my kid’s large clinical team- and among the many clinicians I’ve experienced in my life- he is by far the most effective, kind, straightforward, funny and practical. Our kid really left the office and said he wanted to go back and see Dr. Lustig. He’s amazing.

Dr.Lustig has been amazing. We have been coming to see him since my son was 2 years old. He's excellent and professional and so friendly and fun for the kids. 5 stars!!!

Pronominal bedside manner with children....easy to talk to....I left with a clear understanding of the nature of the benign cyst above my daughters right eye.... Best Optamologist I've visited.... I am also an avid listener of the NYU Doctor Radio.

Dr. Lustig had a very good manner with my five-year old son and put him right at ease to accept drops in his eyes and go through battery of tests. No small feat. Very thorough take-no-chances approach to a scratched cornea.

After completing his combined M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at the New York University School of Medicine, he finished his fellowship training at the NYU Medical Center and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Dr. Lustig earned his Ph.D. in an NIH funded program studying the roles of growth factors involved in the early neuro-development of the visual pathways.
Dr. Lustig is also a dedicated volunteer paramedic for a local ambulance corps. He performs the majority of his pediatric eye surgery at the NYU Medical Center. He also is an attending surgeon at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.
