Dr James seems like a competent optometrist; however, his demeanor today wasn’t the most friendly and I felt like I was just a widget and he just had to review to make sure the staff checked my vision correctly. I had not seen him previously and he didn’t even acknowledge that fact. He’s the third eye Dr I have seen at Horizon since Dr Husted retired. Hopefully I won’t be tossed around again.

Very quick exam—I have never had a less thorough exam. I have significant myopia and usually there is a discussion about risks with this and a thorough mapping exam.
Dr James was ok with contact questions, but certainly I felt brushed off during exam. I have always seen an ophthalmologist but was told that there is not one at Horizon who will see me—“they all only do surgery” Horizon cancelled my scheduled appt with one for the 2nd time and put me with Dr James.
Interesting though in the MD bios online, general eye care is listed as a service.
