He earned his undergraduate degree in biology and psychology from Rutgers University. He then completed his medical degree at Medical University of the Americas, located in St. Kitts & Nevis, West Indies.
Dr. Chandi spent his transitional year residency in Internal Medicine at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, NJ, before completing his four-year residency in Internal Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship in sleep medicine at Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, NJ.
His areas of clinical interest include preventative medicine, hypertension, asthma, diabetes, sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, REM behavioral disorder, circadian rhythm disorders, and restless leg syndrome. Dr. Chandi is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Thoracic Society. Over the years, he has volunteered for medical camps in Punjab, India, with the Dr. Kuldeep Basra Medical Camp and the 5 Rivers Heart Association Medical Camp.
In his spare time, Dr. Chandi is an avid supporter of the New York Knicks and enjoys watching boxing and UFC. He also has a passion for playing golf, collecting colognes, and tackling home renovation projects. Dr. Chandi places a high value on quality time with family and friends and especially enjoys barbecuing on the weekends.
