She was instrumental in getting SB28 into law, allowing Alabama podiatric surgeons to treat conditions of both the foot and ankle, ensuring patients get better care more efficiently. Dr. Kirkland was elected Treasurer of the Alabama Podiatric Medical Association in May 2024.
Away from her clinical duties, Dr. Kirkland cherishes time with her family, indulges in golfing, enjoys reading, and is an avid follower of Alabama football.

She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure her patients feel heard and understood rather than rushed. It is rare to find a medical office where you feel so comfortable, valued, and confident in the care you are receiving. I have nothing but the highest respect for this doctor and her staff and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and exceptional medical care.

Been going to her for a while she is really professional at her calling she worked on my diabetic foot which had a diabetic ulcer in pretty bad shape and she doctored it right up no more pain and no more ulcer thank you and she has a excellent staff that works for her
