Majid Asawaeer, MD, FACC, CBCCT, RPVI

Dr. Majid Asawaeer, MD, FACC, CBCCT, RPVI, is a board-certified cardiologist with specialized expertise in high-risk coronary interventions, peripheral arterial and venous endovascular procedures, and advanced cardiac imaging. He holds certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Asawaeer also maintains DEA, ACLS, and BLS certifications. His clinical interests include complex coronary interventions—such as those involving mechanical support and chronic total occlusions—as well as endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), and the percutaneous management of acute pulmonary embolism.

Dr. Asawaeer earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman, followed by an internship at the University of Jordan Hospital. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson and went on to pursue a cardiology fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by an interventional cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has also served as a clinical assistant professor at Midwestern University and as teaching faculty at Canyon Vista Medical Center in Arizona, where he was named Attending of the Year in 2013 and received multiple patient experience champion awards.

He is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Asawaeer is actively engaged in research and has earned certificates in clinical research from both the University of Arizona and the National Institutes of Health. He has contributed numerous publications and has presented at major national medical conferences. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Asawaeer enjoys hiking, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family.
