Dr. Trivellas has been an athlete her whole life, playing a range of sports and specifically Division I, varsity lacrosse at Yale University. Her journey in competitive athletics ignited a lifelong commitment to sports medicine. After completing her undergraduate studies, she dedicated herself to advancing the field of sports medicine, conducting research at several renowned institutions, including the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the University of California in San Francisco, and the Institut Pasteur in Paris.
Her medical education journey continued at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She then pursued her orthopedic surgical residency at UCLA in Los Angeles, where she embraced the active lifestyle of Southern California. Further refining her expertise, she completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Duke University, where she covered Duke football, basketball, and lacrosse teams and gained advanced experience in treating sports injuries and joint conditions.
