Dr Lauer is kind, empathetic, helpful, smart, and a very good listener,.

She's an awesome doctor

She seemed distracted and unsure of herself. Said she was pretty sure I had a cyst that could be drained & I asked for f it could be anything else and she said it was rare. She tried to pop it with a syringe and hit a nerve then said it was probably a neuroma. Now the nerve is inflamed and hurts worse than when I went in.

Listened well, answered all my questions. Very personable.

Dr. Lauer truly seemed to care about my hand problem. She took all the time I needed to discuss my issues, treated my problem in office same day, plus took a little time to chat bout my life. Another GREAT asset to St. Cloud Orthopedics.

Wonderful doctor

I was impressed with the way Dr. Lauer allayed my apprehensions regarding treatment for my wrist. She is knowledgeable and professional with pertinent responses to all questions I asked. I recommend her highly!

Dr. Lauer was very thorough. She explained all the options available. She took time to answer my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the plan to move forward.

Dr. Lauer did an excellent job explaining the treatment options available to me and made me comfortable in asking for time to consider the options for a period of time.

Dr. Lauer seemed hurried and interested in ending my appointment as soon as possible. She kept saying that if I had questions I should call her nurse when I was sitting there in person with questions. She darted out saying she would bring back the nurse's card which I took to mean that she was bringing it back herself. I had more questions I wanted to ask. Then the nurse came in with the card and said Dr. Lauer had gone on to the next patient. I felt dismissed and uncared for. I will be looking for a new doctor.

Lack of good communication skills

Love her sense of humor. My experience was "very little discomfort". I was totally comfortable with Madelyn.

After going to other clinics with no result, I scheduled an appointment with Dr Lauer and she knew immediately what the problem was in order to get it fixed. I was impressed with how thorough she was, her level of expertise, the surgery, and the aftercare. I will always highly recommend her-especially for sports related injuries.

I have worked almost 2 years to get to this point of surgery, with the state of Mn and workers comp crap and to have this canceled at the end of my journey of getting this repaired is sickening. I have scheduled my life accordingly to get this done and now with a new doctor I pretty much need to start over once again! Widthstrom, (retirement), Lauer (no confidence in) and now going to Steiger. I am wore out with an injury that happened falling off a fire truck at an emergency scene helping others in a volunteer position! I almost started my resolution Sept 27th to my prognosis only to have that taken away again. Words can’t describe how upset I am!!!

Dr. Lauer is amazing! She listens when you explain what is going and she explains things very well. She doesn't talk down to you like a lot of specialists tend to. I would recommend her to anyone.

She did a good job reviewing what was going to happen in the procedure, and giving her recommendation on whether or not I should have the procedure, but she didn't spend a lot of time with me. It was very brief. I mostly talked with her PA about the whole thing.
