She is very easy to talk to and encourages you to ask any questions. Not In a hurry to get to the next patient.Explained a procedure to me that she suggested I have done for a kidney stone. Wanted to double check the size of the stone by looking at the film herself. Explained how I would feel after the procedure also. Explained it was under general anesthesia also.Very confident which puts you at ease.

Dr Francie James is an excellent urologist. I had a Beign Prostatic Hyperplasia and she did a TURP procedure. My blood panel readings showed high bun and creatinine levels indicating that my kidneys were damaged. The problem was that I wasn't emptying out my bladder fully. My family doctor picked up this condition in a CT scan and sent me to the emergency room at the RSF hospital in Berkeley. My family doctor referred me to Urology Associate of Charleston. After review the doctor profiles, I selected Dr. M. Francis James.
She has been very thorough, and analyzed the correct procedure. Her surgical skill has been excellent. I had to be catherized via a super public tub coming out of my stomach. This had to be in place until I was peeing and emptying out my bladder. She monitored my progress and the caterization was removed when she and I felt it was safe. I wanted to be sure that my kidney function was back to normal.
