Dr. Lya Basha, D.P.M., is a compassionate and professional Podiatrist with well-rounded experience in treating patients for their lower extremity needs.
Dr. Basha obtained her Doctorate degree from Barry University school of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, FL, and further continued enhancing her skills by completing 3 years of Residency in Boston, MA at the Boston Medical Center, a level-1 trauma center, where she received a thorough surgical and clinical training within her specialty in foot and ankle.
During her residency, Dr. Basha participated in a variety of rotation specialties including Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, Infectious Disease, Emergency Department, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Psychology, Trauma Care & Surgery, Plastics Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology. This has enabled her to provide efficient work ethics, analysis, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with great communication, as well as with a multidisciplinary team approach to provide the best care. Dr. Basha is also a member of the APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association) and FPMA (Florida Podiatric Medical Association), dedicating her time to serving her community.
Dr. Basha always works with her patients’ best interests in mind. She is efficient at offering the greatest support by listening to her patients’ needs and analyzing ongoing issues to provide potential diagnosis and treatment options, as well as communicating all possibilities in detail with her patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Basha enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, loves the beach, fitness, and outdoor activities, the arts, fine dining, traveling, and is always inspired to look for ways to make this world a better place.
