Dr. Luke Pruitt, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician with 34 years of experience, having practiced with both Sandhills Pediatrics and Eau Claire Pediatrics for many years.
Born and raised in Honea Path, South Carolina, he graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School. He attended the University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and then received a master’s degree from Clemson University. In 1975, he went on to the Medical University of South Carolina to earn his Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Pruitt pursued a residency in pediatric medicine at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C., finishing his residency in 1982.
He married his high school sweetheart, Teresa, and they have two sons and three grandchildren. He and his wife are active members of Lexington First Baptist Church, where he teaches Sunday School.
