She has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, authored textbook chapters, and is active in surgical training of ophthalmologists. She trains ophthalmology residents at Northwell Health and serves as a faculty instructor for skill transfer courses at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery’s annual national meetings.

A native New Yorker, Dr. Sun is honored to return to Queens to serve the community where she grew up. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
