Lucia provides all necessary medical information and performs tests comfortably. Reasons for improvement is asking more direct questions and being more forthcoming with concerns or information during certain weeks of pregnancy. Her demeaning seems like she’s checking a box rather than giving individualistic care to the patient. I also think her patient care summaries could be more detailed and capture the questions the patient has asked. Overall Her bedside manner could be improved and relaying more than just the minimum information for pregnancy.

Dr Pacheco is condescending, lacks warmth and empathy, and is late to every appointment I’ve had with her. She makes me feel like she couldn’t care less about me as a human being. She talked to me like I was stupid when I brought up some concerns. Since this has been consistent behavior from her at each visit I’ve had, I will be looking for another doctor. Truly an awful experience in a very vulnerable setting.

Dr. Lucia Pacheco, M.D., was born in Venezuela. After living in England and France, she moved to Houston in 1999 and has called it home ever since. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in French. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UTMB, where she also served as Chief Administrative Resident in her last year. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is experienced in French.
Dr. Pacheco provides comprehensive care for women of all ages in general Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her clinical interests include obstetrics and high-risk pregnancies, contraceptive counseling, preventative women’s health, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Pacheco is passionate about patient education and is dedicated to establishing long-lasting patient relationships while taking care of women throughout all stages of their lives.
