Following orthopedic residency he sought fellowship training in adult hip and knee arthritis and joint replacement surgery at The Royal London Hospital Medical College in London, UK.
In 1987, Dr. Louis J. Mariorenzi returned home to RI to practice with his father A. Louis Mariorenzi MD and later his brother Michael P. Mariorenzi, MD. Dr. Mariorenzi has held numerous leadership positions on many boards and committees at St. Joseph Hospital-Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center. He has been voted “Top Doc” in orthopedic surgery by his peers in Rhode Island Monthly magazine nearly every year since the initial publication in 1994. Away from the medicine, he enjoys hiking, sailing, skiing and mountaineering. He has successively climbed all “Seven Summits” including Mt. Everest.
