Dr. Lisa Frantz, M.D., joined Mid-America Orthopedics in 2024. She grew up in the rural Kansas town of Conway Springs. After completing her undergraduate studies at Tabor College, she received a degree in Physician Assistant from WSU and worked for an upper extremity orthopedic surgeon for 9 years. She then achieved her MD degree from University of Kansas – Wichita. The 5 years of orthopedic surgery residency was also completed in Wichita, followed by a busy year at the University of Iowa for hand surgery fellowship.

Dr. Frantz is excited to return to the Wichita orthopedic community where she will offer services in hand and upper extremity surgery. She has a special interest in congenital and pediatric hand surgery and well as treating sports and work related injuries in addition to the wide breadth of hand surgery. She will also serve the community with treating patients through hand trauma call. She will be seeing patients at the east side Hand Center as well as the west Wichita location.

The staff was very helpful, ready to assist with any questions and concerns. The doctor's staff was very polite and ready to help and Explained everything in great detail.
Listens and explains what she sees as the problem. Explaining why we are trying this for a healing solution. One of the few drs that I’ve experienced not having questions when I left. Thank you

I have never been so disrespected at any apt ever in my life. She never read my file, she didn’t even know I was female she yelled entering the room where is “he” I’m here… where did he go? looking at me as if I’m in the wrong room. She proceeded to laugh when I told her about my previous surgery and who my doctor was, she never let me speak. She was too proud to say that she messed up on my name that she was in the right room. She bruise my whole arm, tapping it saying I don’t have carpal tunnel and then told me my surgery I had with my previous doctor wasn’t even real. Lisa kept telling me to go somewhere closer to home to get my stuff done. I barely got to speak at my own apt.Next she yelled at me asking why “I shut down completely”. Quote “what is wrong what is the problem isn’t this what u want isn’t this enough for you?” At this point I decided to walk out on the most degrading apt ever with Lisa Frantz. Last she spoke what the hell as I left .I would never suggest her to anyone.

She was amazing with my daughter! Would highly recommend her!
