Dr. Hjelm is amazing! She took the time to thoroughly explain everything and answered all of my questions with patience and care. I left feeling confident, informed, and reassured about my healing plan.

I do not recommend seeing this Dr. if you can choose someone else I would suggest to do so. She came in fast, talked even faster, does not listen, I actually had to say “you keep interrupting me” while just trying to explain my foot pain. She came in with what seemed to be her decision as to what was going on without visiting with me at all. The entire length of the “visit” with her was 10minutes (and that’s being generous). She offered Gabapentin and did not seem to like when I declined that. She pulled up another patients chart while in mine, I looked up and saw some other ladies face! I mean HIPPA LAWS…I asked who that was and she said oh another patient on my schedule. Which left me to believe she was pregaming the next patient. I left in tears, honestly. Unheard, talked over, waste of my time and apparently her even more valuable time. I rarely leave reviews but this was awful, pick a different dr or even a different business if you can.

I’m sorry, but she made me feel like I shouldn’t be there. She said that my nails had not grown enough and I shouldn’t be there not come in so often. The timeframe was what was suggested by Dr Sigurdson. She also was very rough and it hurt more than it ever did before.

So glad I came to her, she knew exactly what was wrong with my daughter and was straight to the point!

She's a nice doctor, but she has a habit of talking over you when you're trying to explain something. Sometimes it feels like she's in a rush and trying to get out the door again. She doesn't examine progress effectively, and her nurses don't ask any questions either. She was practically out the door when I still had questions that she answered from the hallway.

Dr Hjelm is my second opinion doctor and I have been really pleased with everything. Her demeanor, her excellent surgery and her upbeat personality.
