Dr. Linda Slade, a native of Mobile, graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology in 1983. In 1997, she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Slade further honed her skills through a residency program in ocular disease at Bay Pines VAMC, completing the program in 1998. Dr. Slade practices out of our West Mobile office.

She was rushing quite a bit which was causing her to be very careless with my head. For example, she kept physically pushing my head forward Into the equipment Instead of just asking me to move forward. Also the equipment that helps you figure out the prescription you need would not come over far enough to touch my face, so instead of only asking me to move closer, she pulled my face over to it without warning. I will not be seeing her again.

Dr. Slade is wonderful because she took the time to listen to me about my concerns. She explained everything in away that I could understand and calm my worries. She is one of the kindest doctors I have seen. She goes beyond for her patients.

Over the subsequent decade, she applied her expertise to the Clinical Laboratory at University Hospital from 1983 to 1993. Dr. Slade is devoted to providing comprehensive eye care for both children and adults. Her specialized focus encompasses ocular disease management, spectacle corrections, and contact lens fittings.
Outside her professional commitments, Dr. Slade cherishes her time with her two daughters, family, friends and church community. Her interests include the outdoors, travel, history, ballet and theatre.
