Libby Joffe

Dr. Libby Joffe, M.D., is board certified in internal medicine and has more than 33 years of experience. She is a co-founder of Advanced Internal Medicine in Wayne, New Jersey and is affiliated with Atlantic Health System.

Dr. Joffe graduated from Bukovinian State Medical University in Western Ukraine. She went on to complete residencies at Morristown Medical Center, and an internship in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Before founding Advanced Internal Medicine, she practiced at Matrix Medical Network with focus on geriatric patients and at a primary care office.

Medicine has been a passion of Dr. Joffe’s since an early age. She always had a genuine interest in health, causes of illnesses, and ways to find cure. Although her work today as an internist is still about understanding and treating patients’ conditions, preventive medicine has a much more front-and-center role in the care she provides.

“Preventive medicine is key to better health and quality of life for my patients, but for it to work optimally, we must first establish a close doctor-patient relationship,” she said. “It’s this relationship that creates trust, strengthens communication, gives patients a stronger measure of control over their own health journey and outcome, and enables me to deliver the personalized care that can help my patients enjoy a good quality of life.”
