I arrived early and he took me early before appointment.

1. I felt very rushed. Dr. spent only 12 minutes with me and talked so fast I had trouble digesting & taking notes. 2. Purpose of visit was for follow up on MRI i had weeks previously. Dr said when he came in that he had just seen the write- up & wanted to review it with his radiologist. He should have done this before my appointment.

I love Dr Schachter, he is such a great guy and really a pleasure to see as a urologist. After finding a tumor in my kidney at a young age, he recommended the best treatment options for me. He performed surgery and I now see him a couple times a year for check ups and it is always a pleasure. He consistently provides amazing care, bedside manner and shows that he isn’t a robot and cares about me and the rest of his patients. Having to try to deal with the Emergency Room at Abington Hospital for follow up care is absurd. My discharge instructions said specifically "Get help right away if your urine turns dark or becomes blood colored" Although I am not a medically trained person, I know dark and blood-colored urine when I see it, including blood clots. When I went to the ER about 2:00 AM on Jan. 7, I had to wait 8 hours to see a professional person. When I returned to the ER on Jan. 13 with a continuing concern, I had to wait 12 hours before I saw a doctor. Moreover my medical plan charges $40 for any non-lifethreatening visit to the ER. You and Abington Hospital charge plenty for your services. I believe I should have experienced more timely care than I received. You perform your surgery and then throw us to the wolves.
