Super sweet n gentle! Also very informative for parents (especially ones with anxiety about everything under the sun like myself haha) and respectful to parent’s wishes if they don’t do things “by the book”. Love this doctor! She also makes sure to check in on mom’s mental health status and provides resources if mom is struggling :)

Dr. Lauren Smith, M.D., was born and raised in Augusta, GA, where she attended Episcopal Day School and Davidson Fine Arts Magnet. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College before being awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study maternal and child health. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, where she also obtained her master’s in public health. She completed her pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. She has a special interest in breastfeeding medicine and complex care pediatrics.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing music and hiking. She is married and is the lucky Mom to three sons. She is honored to practice in her hometown.
