I had high hopes for this visit as I needed a new physician to assist with my back pain. I felt that Dr Matteini didn’t read my file coming into the room - if she did she would have seen that I was already on a medication she suggested and that a test she suggested would be difficult due to my health condition. She was surprised when I discussed both with her. She also commented on my weight in a way that was demeaning. I expected better from her and the practice.

Dr Matteni is an exceptional Dr who operated on me previously with great results. She is thorough and patient and explains things in an understandable fashion I leave with the comfort off knowing I am getting the best possible advise

Dr Matteini evaluated my X-rays, asked questions and proposed a treatment plan. I was able to schedule an appointment with a pain doctor for the next week. A PT order was sent and I will begin new PT next week. Dr Matteini inspires trust. Thanks!

Rushed our visit a bit

Dr. Matteini was so great on explaining everything in todays visit. I didn't realize the pain in my back was so severe until the x-rays. She let me know on what to do after the visit so well. I live in Crystal Lake so I wish she practiced in this area. Maybe she'll think about it. She made my day of pain go away

When she entered the room, she started drilling me about what I was doing to help myself. She spoke to me in a rude and demeaning way. I left there feeling like I caused my condition and was very sad, depressed and lost any hope I had. She also told me I was too young to have surgery, I am 48. So I have to wait 20 more years to get relief? I don't understand what age has to do with my condition...I was born with and have been in horrible pain since I was 16. She was training at the time of my visit. I felt bad for the girl in training too. She is by far the meanest doctor I have ever met. Not because of her treatment plan but it was how she spoke to me. I left there crying and felling defeated.
