Working with both pediatric and adult patients, she utilizes both nonsurgical treatments and highly advanced surgical procedures to improve quality of life. Dr. Matteini particularly specializes in deformity correction, revision spine surgery, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, disc herniation, nerve impingement, and stenosis. Minimally-invasive fusion techniques are offered for quicker return to function and less post-operative pain, particularly anterior and lateral approaches to the lumbar spine. Dr. Matteini is also an expert in the field of motion-preservation in the neck, utilizing cervical disc arthroplasty or replacement for optimal results with reduced recovery time.
Throughout her professional career, Dr. Matteini has worked tirelessly for the advancement of spinal orthopedic treatments, with her findings published in various medical journals. When not in an exam room or surgical suite, you can often find Dr. Matteini mentoring other women starting out in medicine, regardless of specialty. Dr. Matteini stays active bicycling, spinning, and doing yoga. She’s never met a jigsaw puzzle she couldn’t complete and she also values spending time with family, friends, her dog Valentina, and her cat Rufus.

Dr Matteini was wonderful! Great bedside manner! She was so kind and caring. I am so glad that I was recommended to her. Probably one of the kindest doctors I’ve ever met. Loved her confidence too. Made me feel more comfortable when she talked to me. She even placed another warm blanket on me before surgery and tucked me in. lol 😂 She was wonderful! Terri
And why is the carpet wet Todd??!! Loved the surgery she did on my neck as much as he Christmas sweater!!!! She’s awesome Pain immediately gone!
Dr Matteini is doing a good job
I am very happy with my successful surgery with Dr. Matteini. I had a discectomy performed at L3/L4. My nerve pain was gone when I woke up from surgery. Dr. Matteini was wonderful throughout the entire process, she has amazing bed side manner and made myself and my wife comfortable. I am able to get my life back thanks to Dr. Matteini!

I had pain in my calves, and couldn't walk without painkillers for about a year and a half. After listening to other people's horror stories about their back surgeries I became very skeptical about having back surgery. I had decided that there was no way I would have someone digging in my back with no relief. I tried exercise, acupuncture, saw a chiropractor and no relief. I finally decided to consult with Dr. Matteini and found out that this back surgery was a bit different. First off it was outpatient and then she would access my back through my side. I was very relieved to hear that. I asked lots of questions to my satisfaction. It's now 6 weeks after my surgery and I couldn't be happier. I have my legs back and walking without pain and making great progress to completely being healed. Thank you Dr. Matteini and team!!
