Dr. Bechtold is a very knowledgeable physician who listens and cares about her patient’s health concerns. She clearly explains her diagnosis and offers excellent procedures that help solve the issues. I highly recommend her if you are in need of a hand surgeon.

This was my first visit today with Dr. Bechtold and I feel so blessed to be having my carpal tunnel surgery done with her. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable and the explanations and information she gives is awesome. I definitely feel in good hands with her.

Dr. Lauren Bechtold, M.D., was raised in Post Falls, Idaho. She attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID, graduating with Bachelors of Sciences in Microbiology and Psychology. She earned her medical degree at the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to the midwest to complete her residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University in Saint Louis, MO. She remained at Washington University to complete a fellowship in hand and peripheral nerve surgery, with an emphasis on microsurgical techniques and extremity soft tissue reconstruction.
She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors society and is board eligible by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Bechtold enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading, and being active outdoors.
