Dr. Lauren Kallina has been a retinal physician for the last 18 years. She joined The Retina Center of New Jersey in August of 2014 and currently attends offices in Bloomfield, North Bergen, Ramsey, Teaneck and Union, NJ.
Dr. Kallina is fluent in both English and Spanish, and in addition, has a working knowledge of French and Italian. She looks forward to serving the needs of her patients in this capacity.
Dr. Kallina graduated from Georgetown University, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctorate in 1988 and 1992 respectively. Thereafter, she did her residency training at the highly respected New York Eye and Ear Infirmary from 1993 to 1996. After her graduation, as Clinical Associate Professor, she was an attending physician in the Retina Clinics at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Kallina completed her medical retina training with Angioletti Eye Associates in 2004 and completed her surgical retina training here at the Retina Center of New Jersey by performing over 1,000 surgical cases during her two years of training. Dr. Kallina became a partner at the Retina Center of New Jersey in August 2014.
Dr. Kallina was raised in Norwood, New Jersey within a family of physicians. Although her grandfather was a General Surgeon at Englewood Hospital, there are three other Retinal physicians in her family. She presently resides in Ridgewood, New Jersey with her husband and four school-aged children. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf with her family, gardening, and cooking. Dr. Kallina has been very active in her church music ministry and was honored to participate in the 2007 Papal Choir during Pope Benedict's visit.

She's amazing. You feel comfortable with her and you forget that she's injecting in your eyes. Very professional.
Dr. Lauren Angioletti is a fine doctor. I found her to be very thorough. She explains things clearly and is very patient and compassionate. The entire staff was pleasant and professional. Good practice was highly recommended to me by another doctor.
