Laura W. Hansen, D.O.

Dr. Laura W. Hansen, D.O., has over nine years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree and went on to attend medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, specifically the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. After completing her residency at Texas A&M Family Medicine, Dr. Hansen chose to practice in a rural community, where she could deliver babies, care for pediatric patients, and treat chronic illnesses all in the same day.

Having grown up in the Houston area, Dr. Hansen later moved with her family to Boerne, TX. She has chosen the Medina Healthcare System as her workplace, where she enjoys all aspects of family medicine. She is particularly passionate about working with new mothers and collaborating with patients to develop personalized prevention and wellness plans that meet their unique health needs.

When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Hansen enjoys hiking and climbing rocks with her husband, Matt, and their children.

Her areas of expertise are in family medicine, and she is credentialed with most insurance carriers. Dr. Hansen is currently accepting new patients and values the continuity of care she can provide to individuals of all ages. She sees patients at the Medina Clinic of Hondo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and at the Medical Clinic of Devine on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
