Dr. Torres, Laura M.D. was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. She decided to go into the medical field because of her family. Early on in her life, she noticed that her family avoided going to the doctor, unless there was an emergency and even then, it was rare to find a doctor that understood her family’s background. She went into medicine to help her community, connect with her patients, and take care of them the way that she would care for her own family. Dr. Laura Torres received her bachelor’s in science in Biochemistry with Honors, from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and her Medical Degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso. Most recently, she completed her Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She chose to work for Gonzaba Medical Group because she saw her own values reflected in the care that Gonzaba provides. She loves the work that Gonzaba provides for the community, and how much they value their patients. When Dr. Laura Torres is not working, she loves to cook, read, and dance. She has been dancing bachata and salsa for over 15 years! Dr. Laura Torres is fluent in English and Spanish.
