She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received both her Doctor of Medicine and Master’s in Public Health degrees. She returned to Duke University Medical Center, completing both her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology. She holds board certifications in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine from ABIM. Dr. Fitzpatrick has been practicing medicine since 2002 and endocrinology since 2005, having been in group endocrinology practice for the past 14 years.
