Excellent competent, knowledgeable, compassionate and reliable throughout the 13 years of being one of her patients. I am able to speak frankly with her, and have never felt rushed, nor have I sensed a dismissive attitude from her or any of her staff. Her assistants, and support staff are very cordial and competent as well. I would recommend her and her practice to anyone who needs Diabetic Endocrinologist’s Care, without hesitation!

I’ve only been seeing Laura now for about six months- she’s great. She’s exactly the kind of doctor I was looking for to be on my side for my thyroid care. She takes the time to listen, and not only that, but actually check things out as well. Would recommend her to anybody!

Dr. Laura L. Fitzpatrick, MD, MPH is a graduate of Duke University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree with Honors and Distinction. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received both her Doctor of Medicine and Master’s in Public Health degrees. She returned to Duke University Medical Center, completing both her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology. She holds board certifications in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine from ABIM. Dr. Fitzpatrick has been practicing medicine since 2002 and endocrinology since 2005, having been in group endocrinology practice for the past 14 years. She holds Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasonography (ECNU), a professional certification in neck ultrasound provided by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and recognized by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
