He was very nice and polite, but in too big of a hurry and spoke way too fast. He gave me the option to do PT, wear a boot, try a different medication or get an MRI. My xray showed thin bones and he said it could be from Lupus, osteoporosis, or even cancer. If you mention the C word, wouldn’t you want the first choice to be an MRI to make sure it’s not? He also called in a medication that I told him I was already on and it wasn’t working which told me he wasn’t listening to me. My pharmacy told me to call and see why he called in what I am already taking and in a smaller dose. I called and got a call back to start on celebrex and if that didn’t work to go back to my pcp. The person said that I asked for something else for pain when I didn’t. Doctors, please slow down and take care of your patients. I drove over four hours there and back for a few minutes of confusion and me trying to make a decision on what to do instead of the doctor I went to get advice and help from.

Never even looked or examined me. Didn’t discuss images.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Larry Nguyen completed his Undergraduate work at Rice University in Houston, TX. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. His postgraduate work brought him to UAMS in 1997, where he completed his Transitional Internship and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Nguyen returned to Texas to complete a fellowship in Foot & Ankle Reconstruction. Dr. Nguyen is licensed by the Arkansas State Medical Board and is Board Certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has been practicing in Little Rock since 2002. Dr. Nguyen is a member of Arkansas Medical Society, Pulaski County Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, fellow member, and an active member of Mid-America Orthopaedic Association.
