Sullenberger, M.D. attended Georgetown University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 followed by his Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1997. Excellent service and professional, dignified manners. Very easy to speak with and discuss information with. Some user error on outside signage, had difficulty identifying the building and took a spin around the RPI parking lot GPS seemed not able to identify the correct turn for this building.

Dr. Sullenberger is wonderful!! He has good rapport with his patients, and is very thorough!! If he orders tests he gets back to me with the results by phone. He reviews all test results, and reports, and explains results in layman’s terms.

He spent a total of eleven years on active duty service at Walter Reed, where he received several awards for his teaching of residents and fellows. In 2005, he was deployed to Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Sullenberger is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology. He holds special certification in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and CT Coronary Angiography. Dr. Sullenberger is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is on staff at Albany Medical Center and St. Peters Hospital. Dr. Sullenberger also holds a HFSA Heart Failure Certification (HF-Cert) for demonstrating an advanced-level knowledge and skill to provide competent heart failure services.
Dr. Sullenberger has a special interest in cardiac imaging, particularly CT coronary angiography, as well as in cardiovascular disease prevention. He is currently Medical Director of the Cardiac Imaging at Capital Cardiology Associates, which includes the CT Imaging Suite, the Echocardiography service, and the Nuclear Cardiology service. Dr. Sullenberger also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Capital Cardiology.
Dr. Sullenberger lives in Loudonville with his wife and three children. He received an MBA from University of Mass Amherst Isenberg School of Management in August 2023.
