I never met De.Ferguson at any point. A simple Hello I am De.Ferguson here to do your surgery and “ Durgery is over. All went well” would have been appreciated. The actual surgery went quickly and was completely pain free.

Dr. Lance S. Ferguson, M.D. received his B.A. degree in Mathematics from Duke University, graduating magna cum laude in 1976. He received his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1980, where he was awarded the Lex Souter King Memorial Scholarship. He interned at Presbyterian Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, and completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati, where he served as Chief Resident in 1984.
Dr. Ferguson was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1985, by the American Board of Eye Surgery as a subspecialist in cataract/implant surgery in 1990, and by the American Board of Eye Surgery as a subspecialist in LASIK in 1997. Having recently completed his term as President of the American College of Eye Surgeons, Dr. Ferguson continues to be active on both the American Board of Eye Surgery and the American College of Eye Surgeons advisory boards. Likewise he recently completed two terms on the Board of the Wilderness Medicine Society. He serves and has served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and Adjunct Clinical Professor for Ferris State University College of Optometry, Illinois College of Optometry, Indiana University School of Optometry, The Ohio State University School of Optometry, Southern College of Optometry, the University of Houston College of Optometry, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
Dr. Ferguson lectures nationally and internationally, has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, and is active in the surgical training of residents from the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology. The Society for Excellence in Eye Care has recently distinguished him as Fellow, their prestigious recognition of his contributions to ophthalmology.
Dr. Ferguson has practiced in Lexington, Kentucky since 1985 and has performed over 81,000 total ophthalmic procedures and almost 51,000 cataract procedures
