Dr. Laila Dadvand, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with a strong academic background, including advanced degrees and a focus on preventative and integrative medicine.
Dr. Dadvand is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A. in Chemistry and English. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, earning both her M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience for research performed at the University of California, San Francisco, about the role of sleep in learning and memory.
She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Hospital, Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine. Following her residency, she served as Assistant Professor and Attending Physician in the Beth Israel Hospitalist Division of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Dadvand is a former long-distance marathon runner and a trained Vinyasa and Iyengar Yoga teacher, actively practicing yoga, meditation, and incorporating nutrition and movement as therapy into her interests in integrative medicine. She is passionate about serving her patients, students, and community.
