Dr. Kyle Swanson, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee care, including joint replacement, revision surgery, and minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures. He joined Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic in 2002 and serves patients in Mankato, Minnesota, and surrounding communities. A graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Swanson completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic and a fellowship in adult reconstructive joint surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He also participated in medical mission trips to Ghana for 12 years.

Dr. Swanson joined Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic in 2002. He is a graduate of Mankato West High School, and he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Later, he earned his graduate degree and medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Swanson went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Swanson then pursued additional training in adult reconstructive joint surgery through a fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
In addition to serving the orthopedic needs of our local communities, Dr. Swanson participated in medical mission trips to Ghana, Africa, over the course of 12 years. Outside of seeing patients, he also enjoys pursuits in farming, hunting, and cycling.
