I was very pleased with my visit with Dr Hort. He answered all my questions and gave me great service .

I understand that my condition was minor, but my appointment felt very rushed. He spent less than five minutes talking to me and assessing my injury. Walked out of exam room without saying goodbye, providing official opinion/diagnosis, or giving direction. I had to ask him while he was half way out the door if he thought it was just strain and he said “ya probably “ though I told him I have been dealing with this for months.
After he left, I sat in the exam room with the door open until an employee came by and asked if the doctor was done and I told him I think so. He sent a prescription to the pharmacy that was not necessary. He also suggested PT, but I received no instructions regarding it. Felt no more clear about my issue than I did before the appointment. Waste of time and money.
Requiring a patient to get an x-ray for a soft tissue/calf injury before even speaking to a physician is completely unnecessary and just an excuse to bill insurance.

Got relief from cortisol shot.

Dr. Kurtis Hort is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in lower extremity reconstruction and complex foot and ankle surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Hort is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has lectured extensively both in the United States and abroad. Dr. Hort specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures of the knee, foot and ankle.
