He didn't bother to ask me what was wrong and just looked at the xrays and was prepared to get me a shot for arthritis but that was not why I was there. I had fallen and heard my knee pop and I could not put any weight on it. He spent less than 10 minutes with me and acted like he had was wasting his time.

After breaking both bones in my ankle requiring a plate and 9 screws, I am so relieved I went Dr. Hort for the surgery. As bad as was, I should fully recover in time to go snow skiing in about six months. Would definitely recommend him six days a week and twice on Sunday.

I brought my dad who is 88 to see Dr Hort because we were really frustrated with 3 doctors in the villages not being able to identify what was the source of my dad’s foot pain. Dr Hort and his team quickly did a couple of X-rays and Dr Hort completed a thorough examination and found the root cause of the pain in just one office visit. He recommended a fairly simple surgery to resolve the issue .it was such a relief to learn that Dr Hort can fix this for my dad. This is the second time I have gone to Dr Hoyt for help. His expertise and technical skills, compassion and empathy for his patients is why I would recommend going to Dr Hort and why I keep going back to him. He is the best orthopedic doctor around. Thank you Dr Hort for helping us figure out what was happening in my dad’s foot. We are optimistic the outpatient surgery will go well.

I’m sure he’s a very good doctor, but I didn’t even meet him. My appointment was with him, but he never came in the room. The PA was very nice and took care of my problem. It would’ve been nice if he had of introduced himself, so if I need follow up, I will know with whom I’m dealing.

Great advice from Dr. Hort for an ongoing problem with my right foot. Surgery recommended - going to get second opinion as said surgery extensive and will put me out of commission for 3-6 months.

Dr Hort was disrespectful, in that he didn’t both to introduce himself. He appeared disinterested in my condition, jumping to incorrect conclusions. Without any justification he suggested that I might have a life-changing condition - upon challenge, withdrawing the suggestion. . I would not recommend this doctor .

Think he is top notch, Only criticism is I feel there needs to be more communication between him and the PA and nurses as to what the patient should and should not do.

Dr. Hort took the time to explain my foot xrays, which showed two fractured metatarsals. He determined I did not need surgery and put me in a walking boot. 6 weeks later, today he showed me how my foot was healing, and encouraged me to start exercising. Great care and compassion. Receptionists are friendly and efficient. All the staff I encountered were professional and friendly. A great orthopaedic practice, if you need one

I never saw the doctor. I saw a lovely nurse, and I suppose his PA(?). Not really sure, I probably should have asked, but I just wanted to get on with the appointment. He was great just think if that is who the appointment is with I should know before I arrive.
