Dr. Mohty attended The University of Arizona for his undergraduate studies, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in health sciences and mathematics. He continued at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson to earn his medical degree. Dr. Mohty completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles before pursuing specialized fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also contributed to peer-reviewed publications and book chapters related to orthopedic care.
Inspired by his father, a retired hand surgeon, Dr. Mohty knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue the same specialty. He values the important role the hands play in everyday life and finds it especially rewarding to practice in his hometown and help patients regain function, independence, and the ability to return to the activities that matter to them.
Dr. Mohty believes effective care begins with listening to each patient and understanding their individual concerns, goals, and expectations. He takes time to clearly explain the diagnosis and available treatment options so patients can make informed decisions about their care. When surgery is needed, he uses a meticulous, individualized approach focused on achieving the best possible outcome for each patient.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Mohty enjoys 3D modeling and design, programming and software development, video editing, and Photoshop.
